PSER Survey 2025: Hardworking Employee Removed, Cheaters Kept - A Story of Injustice

The PSER Survey - Punjab Social Economic Registry - was launched by the Punjab Government to collect data of deserving families. The idea was noble: help the poor, support the needy, and make sure benefits reach the right people. But the ground reality is telling a very different and painful story.

My Friend’s Story:

My friend worked in the PSER survey team. From day one, he gave his 100%. In his group, he completed the most houses. Whatever target the company gave, he always did more than that.

During Ramzan, he worked in extreme heat while fasting. He roamed street to street under the hot sun, knocking on doors, collecting data. Then came summer with 45°C temperature. He wore a helmet, sweated all day, but never complained. When winter arrived, his hands froze in the cold, but he still went from house to house to finish the survey.

He had only one thought in his mind: "If I work hard with honesty, I will get my reward. My hard work will pay off."

But What Happened When the Time Came?

When it was time to make jobs permanent and give rewards for hard work, he was removed from the job. All his months of effort, all his sacrifices were thrown in the dustbin.

And Who Was Kept?

The people who did cheating in their work were kept in the job. Those who were supposed to do 10 houses daily, wrote 30 houses in the register while sitting at home. They never visited the field, never talked to people, just made fake data on paper. Their work was 3 times less than my friend. But still, they got the job and my honest friend was left jobless.

This is Pure Injustice:

1. *Punishment for Honesty:* The person who worked with truth and dedication was kicked out.

2. Reward for Cheating:
The people who lied, who made fake entries, who never did field work, are now sitting in AC rooms and getting salary every month.

3. Wasted Sacrifice:
All the Ramzan fasts, all the summer heat, all the winter cold... everything went to waste for nothing.

What My Friend Says Today:

"Brother, I gave my blood and sweat for this job. I didn’t even break my fast to finish the work. I thought PSER would give me respect and halal bread for my family. But the opposite happened. The cheaters are still getting salaries today and I am back to daily wage labor. Tell me, where is justice in this system?"

The Bigger Question:

If a government project like PSER cannot protect honest and hardworking people, then how will it help the poor? If cheaters are rewarded and hard workers are punished, then who will do honest work in future?

The government and PSER management need to do a proper investigation. They need to check the real data, verify field visits, and give justice to people like my friend. Honest workers deserve respect and job security, not rejection. Cheaters should be removed, not rewarded.

Conclusion:

This is not just my friend’s story. Many field workers across Punjab are facing the same injustice. PSER is a good project, but its implementation is failing at the human level. We request the authorities to look into this matter seriously. Give the right to the deserving. Do not let hard work go to waste.
